Introduction to Module 4

Welcome to Module 4! This is going to be the first of two lectures on neural network models. We start with linear regression, which is a very useful model by itself, and we will also use it to build artificial neurons and multi-layer neural networks. In the next lecture we will look more closely at how to optimise the parameters inside a neural network model.

The slides are available on Scientia. There you can also find a pdf with optional neural network exercises. These cover both of the neural networks lectures and many of the questions you will likely not be able to answer until after also seeing the next lecture.
