Course materials
Our guided study materials are posted on this webpage in a bespoke, web-based, online course format.
More specifically, we will post a weekly guide on what you should be doing on the exclusive Weekly Study Page. This page can be reached by clicking on the “note” icon on the top-left of this website, or from the big button on the home page.
Recorded lecture materials
Each Thursday afternoon/evening, we will release a new set of lecture materials. These are mainly video-based lectures, presented across multiple 5-30 minutes chunks on our webpage. These videos may be interleaved with some quizzes on the webpage. You should allocate a total of about 2 hours to go through and digest these materials. You are free to decide when and how you want to study these.
We recommend you watch the videos directly from our webpage to get the full intended experience. Otherwise, you might miss out on further content like quizzes that are not available.
PDF slides accompanying these videos will be posted on Scientia.
There are NO separate lecture notes, so we recommend taking your own notes (e.g. on the PDF of the slides) as you study the materials.
Optional tutorial exercises
From Week 4 onwards, some optional tutorial exercises will also be posted on Scientia. These are mainly exam-style practical questions for you to practise and deepen your understanding on the lecture materials.
Optional lab exercises
We will also provide some optional lab exercises each week on this webpage. These lab exercises are provided to bridge the gap between theory (from the lecture materials) and implementation. Doing these lab exercises are also aimed to guide you towards implementing your coursework assignments. You will need to allocate extra time to work on these exercises if you choose to do so.
